县委刘书记的女婿罗伟被待业青年汤辉打伤，当夜死亡。公安人员江文景负责调查此案。他发现汤辉和罗伟的女友刘娜对案发的起因说法不一致，于是起了疑心。经化验，罗伟并非死于殴打或自杀，而是死于谋杀。江文景在家里用小白鼠做实验，揭开了致使罗伟死亡的真正方式。另一方面，他得知医生梅玉贵和刘娜发生了不正当关系，案情终于揭开了面纱。江文景卫了找到证据，佯装昏迷被送进医院。梅玉贵在抢救的时候企图用同样的方法杀死江文景，这样恶行败露。刘娜也被拘留审查。。Paramount and 20th Century Studios are re-releasing James Cameron’s “Titanic” in cinemas for Valentine’s Day for its 25th Anniversary.
