前乐队主唱杨可以出道失败，踏上残酷的找工作历程。四处碰壁后，终于在黑狸堂广告公司找到了容身之处，谁知等待他的竟然是惨绝人寰的社畜生活。996加班自是不必多说，杨可以还不幸被自己的奇葩上司叶守愚认定有成为“社畜之王”的潜质，得到了“特殊关照”。更倒霉的是，他的搭档是同期进入公司的废柴——林开心。就在杨可以刚刚适应了荒诞的“社畜生活”时，前乐队队长，现已是大明星的温世晴与杨可以相遇。面对重回娱乐圈的邀约，杨可以的心动摇了。。The film opens with a narrated disclaimer over footage of an opening coffin.
